Welcome back everyone! I’m really looking forward to this school year and hope that you are too! First off I have to say that I am very excited to be back in 5th grade! I hope that you all had a very nice, enjoyable, relaxing, and refreshing summer. Below you will find a suggested supply list for my classroom. Take advantage of some of the sales while you can. You do not need these supplies for the first day of school.

I’d also like to welcome you to our classroom blog. This is the best way to keep updated on what is going on in our classroom and school! The kids will have podcasts, videos, and their work up here throughout the school year. Also, you will find games, pictures, and very helpful websites on here; not to mention that the homework will be posted daily up here as well as some of our math Study Link and Journal pages.

I cannot wait to see you all on the first day of schoo! Enjoy the rest of the summer and I will see you all on Tuesday, September 8th at 12:25pm.

Sept. 9 – 11 – Full day classes (8:35 – 3:30)

Sept. 15 – First PTO meeting at 6:45

Sept. 16 – Picture Day!

Sept. 21 – PTO Skating Party!

Well, Mrs. Austin and I are in one of the greatest and most historical cities in America this week…BOSTON! We are also with a friend of ours and his wife. We have done a lot of really great things so far. One of my favorite has been the the tour of Fenway Park! I did this before but it was cold out so this time it was so cool to be touring the oldest ballpark in baseball on a nice, warm, sunny day! Hope you all are having fun and enjoyin the summer!!!

Mr. Alvaro, a teacher in Anchor Bay, posted this video on his blog so I thought I would share it with you too. Wouldn’t it be cool if our school was like this one? I think I would be in Heaven! So  grab your mum and dad, and give it a watch. Wouldn’t you like this too!!!!
