Mr. Austin's Class

Well, Mrs. Austin and I are in one of the greatest and most historical cities in America this week…BOSTON! We are also with a friend of ours and his wife. We have done a lot of really great things so far. One of my favorite has been the the tour of Fenway Park! I did this before but it was cold out so this time it was so cool to be touring the oldest ballpark in baseball on a nice, warm, sunny day! Hope you all are having fun and enjoyin the summer!!!

 

I was excited when I checked the blog and there was a comment from Matt saying he made the All-Star team for his baseball league! What a great honor that is! He is a great player! Here are some pictures i snapped while he was playing. Great job Matt!!!!

I had such a great time at Somerset Pool with you guys! What a fun way to end a great year!

Today in class we talked about plotting points. Remember…up and over!
We also practiced our arrays and multiplication.

We have been using our Promethean Board all the time and we love it! We all think it’s a lot better then just using the board or the Elmo! Here is Jaylin doing some subtraction. We have also been playing games, practicing counting money, moving the hands on a clock to tell time, and a lot of other things!

When Marisa saw me Friday morning she was soooo excited to show me what she EARNED Thursday…A GAME BALL!!! She got her first hit during her baseball game! I’m so proud of her!

Your animal reports turned out GREAT! You all did a fantastic job on them. I can’t wait to hear all about your animals!

We have been working hard on our animal reports that are due on Tuesday. We’ve gathered information from books, magazines, the internet, and each other, drawn and colored pictures, found some online, and cut some out of magazines.
